Ordering Guide & Tips

A Bowl of soup at Panera Bread costs $8.29–$8.99, a Bowl of Mac & Cheese costs $10.49–$10.99, and a whole Bacon Turkey Bravo — the sandwich the chain is built on — costs $11.79–$12.69 and has 860 calories. Panera sets no single national price: every cafe sets its own, so every price on this page is the verified range from Panera’s official online ordering, checked at cafes in Chicago, Dallas and Orlando on October 25, 2026. Below is the full Panera Bread menu: soups, sandwiches, salads, stuffers, market bowls, breakfast, bakery, bagels and drinks, with the calories Panera publishes for every item.

How Panera Ordering Works: You Pick Two, Halves and Feasts

Most of the Panera menu is sold in two sizes — Half and Whole — and the way the halves are priced is the first thing to understand: there is no single You Pick Two price. A You Pick Two is simply two half items charged at their You Pick Two component prices, plus a free side — your choice of kettle chips, a French Baguette portion or an apple. The Half prices in the menu on this page are those component prices, because that is how a half is actually bought; the one standalone Half price Panera displayed (a Chicken Bacon Rancher half in Chicago) is the exception, not the rule.

The pairing maths is simple. A half Caesar Salad is $4.99–$5.49 as a You Pick Two component and a cup of soup is $5.29–$5.49, so that pairing prices out at $10.28–$10.98 with the side included free. Value Duets are the fixed version of the same idea — preset pairings sold at one value price in the cafe’s own menu. Whole sandwiches run $7.79–$13.79, whole salads $8.59–$14.29, and every Whole can also be ordered on its own, outside any pairing.

For a group at one table, the Family Feast line is Panera’s bundle format, marketed as a meal for four: the Family Feast is $36.00, the Family Feast with Cookies $41.00, the Premium Family Feast $41.00 and the Premium Family Feast with Cookies $46.00 — the same figures at all three cafes checked. Kids order from their own menu: sandwiches at $7.29–$7.89, a Kids Mac & Cheese at $6.79–$7.39 and a Kids Broccoli Cheddar Soup at $6.69–$7.19.

Soups & Mac

Eight soups were on the live menu at every cafe checked: Broccoli Cheddar, Homestyle Chicken Noodle, Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice, Creamy Tomato, Bistro French Onion, Rustic Baked Potato, Autumn Squash (the seasonal soup) and the new Three Cheese Lasagna Soup — plus Mac & Cheese and Bacon Mac & Cheese. Every soup is sold three ways: Cup (1 cup), Bowl (1½ cups) and Bread Bowl, and the prices barely move between flavours — a Bowl is $8.29–$8.99 and a Bread Bowl is $8.98–$9.48 for all eight. Panera displays a standalone cup price for only one soup, the Broccoli Cheddar Cup at $6.69–$7.19; the other soups’ cup rows carry no price on this page because Panera does not display one outside a You Pick Two.

The bread bowl is a real format, not a garnish: the sourdough bowl alone is 650 calories and is sold by itself for $2.99. It is why the calorie jump from Bowl to Bread Bowl is so large — Broccoli Cheddar goes from 420 calories as a Bowl to 930 in the bread bowl, and Mac & Cheese from 980 to 1,140. Each soup also comes in a Group size for sharing, at $21.49–$22.99 (Mac & Cheese Group $24.99–$26.99).

Panera rotates its soups and does not publish a national day-by-day soup timetable, so this page does not print one — the soup board in the cafe and the official ordering menu for your cafe are the truth for a given day. Two soups people search for are not on the current cafe menu: Ten Vegetable Soup — it appears in Panera’s official nutrition information, but it was not listed at the Chicago, Dallas or Orlando cafes checked in October 2026, so no cafe price exists for it — and the Hearty Fireside Chili, which is in the current nutrition guide (270 calories a cup, 410 a bowl) but was not among the soups on the live menus captured.

Sandwiches, Salads, Stuffers & Market Bowls

The sandwich board is sixteen builds, every one of them in Half and Whole. The head of it is the Bacon Turkey Bravo on Tomato Basil Miche (860 calories whole), the Toasted Frontega Chicken (860) and the Chipotle Chicken Avo Melt (1,000). The biggest sandwich on the menu is the Toasted Italiano — 1,330 calories and, at $12.69–$13.49 whole, priced with the Ciabatta Cheesesteak ($12.69–$13.79) at the top of the board. The lightest whole sandwich is the Mediterranean Veggie at 520 calories and $7.89–$8.79. Two Ciabatta Dippers — French Ciabatta and Chicken Pesto — come with a soup dipper, and the two lunch Asiago Bagel Stacks (Chicken Roma, Spicy Steak) are a flat $7.99.

The chicken-salad sandwich on the current menu is the Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad on Country Rustic Sourdough (350 calories a half, 690 whole; $8.99–$9.79 whole). It replaced the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich, which survives only on older pages — see the retired-items section below.

Thirteen salads mirror the sandwiches in Half and Whole, from the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad (710 calories whole) and the Green Goddess Cobb with Chicken (580) to the Ultimate Garden Steak Salad, the most expensive item on this page at $13.49–$14.29 whole. The Salad Stuffers are the current flatbread format: thirteen of the salads folded into a lahvash wrap, sold whole only, at $8.18–$12.08 — plus an Ultimate Mac Stuffer (930 calories). The Market Bowls are the warm grain bowls launched in summer 2026 — All-In Veggie, Carnitas Elote and Sesame Ginger Chicken, in Half and Whole; the Whole bowls were listed at the Orlando cafe ($9.99–$13.89) and the halves price as You Pick Two components everywhere.

Breakfast

Panera has a real breakfast menu — this is not a chain where breakfast is a rumour. Eight breakfast sandwiches on croissant and ciabatta (Bacon, Egg & Cheese; Sausage, Egg & Cheese; Ham, Egg & Cheese; Chipotle Chicken, Egg & Avo; a Ham Croissant Benny) are $6.79–$6.89 each, with plain Egg & Cheese builds at $4.99–$5.89. The five breakfast Asiago Bagel Stacks — Wake-Up BLT, Farmhouse Duo, Sausage & Egg, Bacon Double Take and Steak & Wake — are a flat $6.99. The two baked soufflés (Four Cheese, Spinach & Bacon) are $6.59–$6.99, the two crustless frittatas new in 2026 (Broccoli Cheddar, Five Cheese & Bacon) are $5.79–$6.19, and the Steel Cut Oatmeal with Strawberries & Pecans is $6.19–$6.39 at 330 calories.

Breakfast is a morning menu: at most cafes it ends by 11:00 AM, when the kitchen turns over to the lunch board. The exact cutoff belongs to the cafe — see Hours below.

Bakery & Bagels

Ten bagels are baked in the cafe, and one price covers all of them: $1.99–$2.19 for a single Asiago, Asiago Everything, Everything, Plain, Sesame, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Swirl Raisin or Multigrain Bagel Flat — and the Cinnamon Crunch Bagel, the signature of the case, at 430 calories. Cream cheese is priced by format: a 1.5 oz portion of Plain or Honey Walnut is $1.70–$1.80, and an 8 oz tub is $3.69–$3.79. Bagel packs price out at $9.29–$9.49 for a Half Dozen, $13.99 for a Baker’s Dozen, $17.99 for a Dozen & a Half and $18.99 for the Bagel Pack — and on Tuesdays the Baker’s Dozen drops to $9.99 at the cafes checked (see Deals).

The pastry case is priced in two bands: cookies and muffins mostly at $2.99–$4.19 — the Chocolate Chipper and the PB&J Cookie at $2.99–$3.39, the Dubai Style Chocolate Pistachio Cookie at $1.99–$2.29, the Kitchen Sink Cookie at the top, $4.89–$4.99 and 810 calories — and the croissants, cinnamon rolls, pastries and braids at $3.99–$4.49. Breads are sold by the loaf as well as by the slice: a French Baguette Loaf is $3.99, Country Rustic Sourdough $8.69–$8.99, Tomato Basil $8.19–$8.29, Classic White $10.49, and the Black Pepper Focaccia and Artisan Ciabatta loaves $4.49–$4.69. The Sourdough Soup Bowl — the bread bowl itself — is $2.99.

Drinks & Coffee

Drip coffee is the cheapest hot drink in the cafe: Cafe Blend Dark Roast, Light Roast, Hazelnut and Decaf are $2.99–$3.19, and Panera publishes the caffeine for them — a 16 oz Cafe Blend carries 189 mg, a 20 oz 237 mg. Espresso drinks (126 mg of caffeine in Panera’s published figures) price at $4.59–$4.79 for a Caffe Latte or Cappuccino and $5.19–$5.29 for the Caramel, Mocha, Madagascar Vanilla, Chai Tea and Pumpkin Spice lattes. Iced coffee starts with the Cafe Blend at $3.89–$3.99, the flavoured iced coffees new in 2026 (Hazelnut Mocha, Snickerdoodle, Rocky Road, Pumpkin Spice) are $4.19–$4.39, the Frozen Java line runs $4.69–$5.39, and the Greek-yogurt smoothies are $6.39–$6.59. Fountain drinks are $3.39–$3.49, the frescas and Energy Refreshers $4.19–$4.29.

Does Panera still sell Charged Lemonades? No. The Charged Lemonade line — Strawberry Lemon Mint, Mango Yuzu Citrus and Blood Orange, the high-caffeine drinks in the 150–260 mg class — is discontinued and appears nowhere in Panera’s current official nutrition guide. The caffeinated refresher line Panera sells now is the Energy Refreshers (Dragonfruit Sunset, Island Mango, Passionfruit Paradise), at 35–72 mg of caffeine a serving — a much lighter drink. Stale Sip Club copy on old Panera pages still mentions Charged Lemonades; the current menu does not.
Does Panera have cold brew? No. Panera publishes no cold brew in its current nutrition guide and lists none for sale. Its iced coffee is Cafe Blend, brewed and chilled — that is the iced coffee on the menu and in the Sip Club list below.

Unlimited Sip Club

The Unlimited Sip Club is Panera’s drink subscription, and it is priced in the open: $14.99 a month plus tax, billed every 30 days, or $119.99 a year plus tax. It requires a MyPanera account, is for members 18 and over, and can be cancelled at any time. Under the current terms, a membership carries 30 redemptions of eligible beverages per monthly billing cycle at participating US cafes.

The eligible list is the everyday drink board — drip hot coffee, iced coffee, hot tea, fountain sodas and the bubbler drinks (iced teas, lemonades and frescas), 25+ beverages in all. The exclusions matter as much: espresso and cappuccino drinks, cold brew, smoothies, frozen drinks, hot chocolate, packaged and bottled drinks, and customisation upcharges are not included, and the subscription does not apply to catering or third-party delivery orders. For a daily drip-coffee drinker the maths is direct — a single Cafe Blend is $2.99–$3.19, so the membership pays for itself inside five cafe visits a month.

Promotions rotate on top of the standard price: as a dated example, new and lapsed subscribers were offered $5 a month for 5 months in the official MyPanera Days promotion running September 23 to December 31, 2026. That is a promo window, not the price — the standard $14.99 / $119.99 terms above are the standing ones.

Nutrition

Every calorie figure on this page comes from Panera Bread’s official Nutrition Guide, Edition 1, effective September 2, 2026 — the current edition. Panera reissues this guide every cycle and the figures move: pages built on the superseded April 2026 edition will tell you the Green Goddess Cobb has 490–500 calories (the current official figure is 580) and the Toasted Italiano 1,280 (current: 1,330, with 4,110 mg of sodium — the saltiest build on the menu). Only the September figures are printed here.

Calories in the Most-Asked Items

Item Calories
Toasted Italiano (Whole) 1,330
Mac & Cheese (Bowl) 980
Broccoli Cheddar Soup (Bread Bowl) 930
Bacon Turkey Bravo (Whole) 860
Grilled Cheese (Whole) 810
Kitchen Sink Cookie 810
Fuji Apple Chicken Salad (Whole) 710
Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich (Whole) 690
Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken (Whole) 580
Broccoli Cheddar Soup (Bowl) 420
Cinnamon Crunch Bagel 430
Steel Cut Oatmeal with Strawberries & Pecans 330

The pattern across the table is the bread: the sourdough bowl adds 650 calories to any soup it carries, a whole sandwich carries roughly double its half, and the two 810-calorie items — the Grilled Cheese and the Kitchen Sink Cookie — show that the bakery case is not the light end of this menu. The lightest full meals are the salads and the standard-build soups: a Bowl of Homestyle Chicken Noodle is 180 calories, the lowest of the soup bowls.

Allergens & Dietary

Panera tracks the nine major FDA allergens — wheat (with gluten called out separately), tree nuts, peanuts, milk, soy, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish and sesame — item by item in its official Allergen Guide (Edition 1, valid for August 19, 2026), including “may contain” flags. Its own caution runs over the whole menu: many products may come into contact with common allergens during production and preparation, and no item carries an allergen-free guarantee.

Does Panera Bread have gluten-free options?Panera does not certify or label any item gluten-free, and there is no gluten-free menu. Panera’s framing is “gluten-conscious”: items made without gluten-containing ingredients — most salads without their crouton builds, most soups, the oatmeal and the drinks — prepared in a shared bakery-cafe kitchen where wheat flour is everywhere. Anyone with coeliac disease should work from Panera’s official allergen guide and the cafe manager, not from a gluten-free list.
Does Panera have vegetarian options?Yes — named builds, not workarounds: the Mediterranean Veggie and Grilled Cheese sandwiches, the Toasted Caprese Focaccia, the Vegetarian Creamy Tomato and Vegetarian Autumn Squash soups and the All-In Veggie Market Bowl are made without meat. Panera does not run a separate vegetarian menu; these are standard menu items.
Does Panera have vegan options?Panera labels no item vegan. Several builds are made without meat but with egg or dairy — the Mediterranean Veggie carries a feta-style cheese spread build, the soufflés and frittatas are egg dishes — so a vegan order is a customisation conversation at the counter, checked against the allergen guide, not a menu section.
Is Panera halal or kosher? No. Panera does not certify any menu item halal or kosher, and its kitchens are not halal or kosher kitchens.

How the Prices on This Page Were Checked

Panera publishes no national price list — prices are set per cafe and appear only inside its official ordering flow once a cafe is chosen. The prices here were captured from that flow, as a guest with no order placed, at three cafes on October 25, 2026: Chicago, IL (S Canal St), Dallas, TX (Lemmon Ave) and Orlando, FL (S Orange Ave), and each is shown as the lowest-to-highest range across the cafes that listed the item. Three conventions follow from how Panera prices: Half prices are You Pick Two component prices (see the formats section); drink prices are the list price for the standard size, which is why the larger-size drink rows carry no price rather than borrowing one; and the Whole Market Bowl prices come from the Orlando cafe, the one cafe of the three that listed them. Delivery-app prices are not used anywhere on this page — they carry markups over the cafe’s own prices.

Deals & MyPanera Rewards

Panera’s deals run through MyPanera, its loyalty program: members earn toward rewards, get member pricing on rotating items, and receive a birthday reward, with offers published in the app and on the official offers pages. One standing deal is visible in the prices themselves — the Tuesday Baker’s Dozen, a dozen bagels for $9.99 on Tuesdays, against $13.99 the rest of the week, at the Chicago and Dallas cafes checked. Beyond that, this page prints no promo codes or expiry dates: Panera’s promotions are account- and cafe-specific and rotate too fast for a printed code to stay true. The current offers are the ones in your MyPanera account — check there before ordering.

Hours

Panera publishes hours per cafe, not as a national table, and the cafe locator on panerabread.com is the source of truth for a specific cafe. The typical pattern is an early opening — most cafes open between 6:00 and 7:00 AM, in time for the breakfast menu — and an evening close around 9:00 to 10:00 PM. Breakfast ends by 11:00 AM at most cafes. Holiday hours are set cafe by cafe and are carried in the locator; cafes inside malls, hospitals, campuses and airports follow their host’s hours, and where a cafe has a drive-thru, the window keeps the cafe’s hours. If the exact open or close time matters — a holiday morning, a late pickup — the app shows your cafe’s hours and its last order time before you pay.

Gift Cards

Check a Panera gift card balance through two official channels: the gift card page on panerabread.com, which carries the official balance check, or at the counter of any Panera cafe. Cards are sold in Panera cafes, on the official site (physical cards and eGift cards) and at grocery and retail stores, and they are redeemed in cafe and in Panera’s own online ordering and app. The terms that govern a card are the ones printed on the card itself and published on Panera’s official gift card pages — this page does not restate terms from third-party card resellers, whose listings routinely garble them.

Items Not on the Current Menu

Five things people keep searching for are not on Panera’s current menu, each checked against the September 2026 official guides:

  • Charged Lemonades — discontinued; the current caffeinated refreshers are the Energy Refreshers at 35–72 mg (see Drinks).
  • Flatbread pizzas — removed in Panera’s 2024 menu transformation. There is no pizza of any kind on the current menu; the flatbread format that exists now is the Salad Stuffers.
  • Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich — replaced by the Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich.
  • Avocado toasts and the Garden Avo & Egg White sandwich — present in the April 2026 guide, gone during 2026 and absent from the September edition.
  • Black Bean Soup and Mexican Street Corn Chowder — they circulate on third-party menus; neither is in the current official guide or on the cafe menus checked.

Quick Answers

How much is a Bowl of soup at Panera?$8.29–$8.99 for every soup on the menu. In a bread bowl, $8.98–$9.48. A Bowl of Mac & Cheese is $10.49–$10.99.
How much is You Pick Two at Panera? There is no single price. You Pick Two is two half items at their component prices — halves run $4.99–$8.29 — plus a free side (chips, a French Baguette portion or an apple). A half salad and a cup of soup together price out at $10.28–$10.98.
How many calories are in Panera Broccoli Cheddar Soup?280 in a Cup, 420 in a Bowl and 930 in a Bread Bowl — the sourdough bowl alone is 650 calories. It is Panera’s most-asked soup and its Cup is $6.69–$7.19, the only soup with a displayed standalone cup price.
What is the most expensive item on the Panera menu?On this page, the Ultimate Garden Steak Salad as a Whole, at $13.49–$14.29. The highest-calorie item is the Toasted Italiano at 1,330 calories.
Does Panera serve breakfast all day?No. Breakfast is a morning menu and ends by 11:00 AM at most cafes; the lunch and dinner board runs from then until close.
How much is the Unlimited Sip Club?$14.99 a month or $119.99 a year, plus tax. It covers 30 redemptions of eligible drinks — drip coffee, iced coffee, hot tea, fountain sodas and bubbler drinks — per monthly billing cycle. Espresso drinks, smoothies, frozen drinks and hot chocolate are not included.

Does Panera have a gluten-free menu? No. No item is certified gluten-free. Panera’s term is “gluten-conscious” — items made without gluten-containing ingredients in a shared bakery kitchen — and its allergen guide carries the cross-contact warning for every item.
What time does Panera open? Most cafes open between 6:00 and 7:00 AM and close around 9:00 to 10:00 PM, but hours are set per cafe — the locator on panerabread.com carries your cafe’s exact hours, including holidays.
How do I check my Panera gift card balance? On the gift card page at panerabread.com or at the counter of any Panera cafe. Cards are sold in cafes, on the official site and at grocery and retail stores.
Does Panera cater?Yes — but catering is a separate ordering system with its own menu and pricing, and it is not covered on this page. Group soup sizes and Family Feasts, above, are the cafe menu’s own group formats.
