Ordering Guide & Tips

A 6-inch sub at Subway costs $3.99–$9.29 and a Footlong costs $6.99–$14.99. There is no $5 Footlong — that promotion is over, and no Footlong at any store checked sells for $5. The standing value offers are the $3.99 Deli Faves and Protein Pockets, the $4.99 Sub of the Day and the $6.99 Meal of the Day. Subway runs no national price list — franchisees set their own prices — so every price on this page is the verified range from Subway’s official online ordering menus, checked at stores in Fort Worth, Texas, Orlando, Florida, and Columbus, Ohio in September 2026. Below is the full Subway menu: sandwiches, the Fresh Fit lineup, breakfast, wraps, salads, Protein Bowls, soups, cookies and drinks, with the calories Subway publishes for every item.

How Subway Works: Sizes & Formats

Every sandwich on the menu is sold in two sizes — a 6-inch and a Footlong — and most builds are also sold in three further formats: a wrap, a chopped salad and a Protein Bowl. The full list with prices is in the menu on this page.

Format What it is Portion
6-inch sub The standard sandwich on your choice of bread Single portion
Footlong sub The same build on a full-length roll Two 6-inch portions
Wrap The build in a wrap, priced on the Footlong tier Footlong portion
Salad The build chopped over salad greens, no bread Footlong portion
Protein Bowl The build served as a bowl with no bread (Subway’s No Bready Bowl format) Footlong portion
Protein Pocket A toasted wheat tortilla pocket — a separate $3.99 value format Single pocket

In the verified menus, wraps carry the same price as the Footlong of the same build, row for row, and Protein Bowls sit on the same tier — the four Deli-style bowls are a flat $6.99. Salads price below the Footlong of the same build, at $5.99–$11.09. The Footlong is not priced as two 6-inch subs: a Cold Cut Combo is $3.99–$4.99 as a 6-inch and $6.99–$7.99 as a Footlong, so the Footlong is the cheaper way to buy the same sandwich twice. Past the sandwiches, the menu runs to breakfast subs and wraps, three soups, a personal pizza, chips, five cookies and a bottled and fountain drink lineup — and a Fresh Fit for Kids menu of mini subs on multigrain bread at $3.49–$5.09.

The Sandwich Lineup

The current ordering menu has dropped the numbered Subway Series names. Several of the numbered recipes continue under plain names: The Philly is now the Steak Philly (steak with American cheese, peppers and onions, $6.79–$7.79 for a 6-inch), The Outlaw is now the Chipotle Philly (chipotle steak with Pepper Jack, same price), and the Ultimate B.M.T. is now the B.M.T. — Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni and Black Forest ham, $6.09–$6.99. The rest of the core lineup: Chicken & Bacon Ranch (Monterey cheddar and Peppercorn Ranch, $7.09–$8.19), Meatball — the Meatball Marinara — at $5.59–$6.29, Tuna (tuna mixed with mayonnaise, $5.89–$6.89), Oven-Roasted Turkey ($5.89–$6.89), Black Forest Ham ($5.59–$6.39), Roast Beef ($7.89–$7.99), the All American Club (turkey, ham, bacon and American cheese, $6.89–$7.89) and the Subway Club (turkey, ham and roast beef, $7.79–$7.99). The Veggie Delite — fresh vegetables on your choice of bread — is the meatless build, at $5.19–$5.79.

Two further blocks sit alongside the core lineup. The Fresh Fit menu is four builds with fresh vegetables — Grilled Chicken & Avocado, Ham & Turkey Stacker, Turkey & Ranch Delite and Seasoned Steak & Avocado — priced from $5.89 for a 6-inch Ham & Turkey Stacker up to $13.99–$14.99 for a Seasoned Steak & Avocado Footlong, the most expensive sandwich on the menu. The Hot Honey Signature Swicy Collection is the current limited-time block: two Doritos Hot Honey nachos ($4.99–$6.99) and two Hot Honey Italian sandwiches in both sizes (6-inch $5.89–$7.89, Footlong $9.89–$12.19). Availability is not universal: the Pizza Sub and the Veggie Patty are regional, soups are not offered at every store, and the Orlando store checked carried no Pizza Sub and no soups.

Prices: How Subway Pricing Works

Subway publishes no national price list. Each restaurant is franchised and sets its own prices, which is why every figure on this page is a range: the lowest to the highest price found for that item on the official subway.com ordering menus of the Fort Worth, Orlando and Columbus stores checked in September 2026. Columbus was the cheapest of the three on most sandwiches; Orlando was the priciest on most Fresh Fit items. Prices taken from delivery apps are not used anywhere on this page — a delivery menu is the same food with a markup added.

The price ladder, format by format: 6-inch subs run $3.99–$9.29, Footlongs $6.99–$14.99, wraps $6.99–$13.69, salads $5.99–$11.09 and Protein Bowls $6.99–$14.49. Around the sandwiches: breakfast subs are $5.69–$6.39 for a 6-inch, soups are $3.39–$3.99 for 8 oz, the Personal Cheese Pizza is $5.69–$6.59, chips are $1.39–$1.89, cookies are $0.89–$1.19 each, and a fountain drink is a single per-store price — $1.99 at the Columbus store checked, $2.69 at Fort Worth and $2.89 at Orlando.

Making a sandwich a combo meal is also priced per store, under two different models. Fort Worth adds a flat $3.19 to any sandwich and Columbus a flat $2.99; Orlando charges by category — $3.60 on chicken sandwiches and $3.90 on steak, deli classics, clubs and local favorites. One figure is constant at all three stores: the daily Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki deal item combos for $2.00.

How much is Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki? It exists only as a deal price. At every store checked, the ordering system shows Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki solely as the $4.99 Sub of the Day (6-inch) and the $6.99 Meal of the Day, with a $7.99 Footlong — there is no separate non-deal price for it. In its other formats it prices normally: $10.79–$12.29 as a Protein Bowl or wrap and $8.49–$9.59 as a salad.

The Value Menu: Deli Faves, Protein Pockets & the Daily Deals

Subway’s standing value architecture is the Fresh Value Menu, launched on April 28, 2026. The Deli Faves are four 6-inch deli builds at $3.99–$4.99 — Cold Cut Combo, Ham & Salami, B.L.T. and Spicy Pepperoni — and they are the cheapest sandwiches on the menu. The Protein Pockets, launched on January 8, 2026 and still flagged limited-time at the stores checked, are four toasted wheat-tortilla pockets at $3.99–$4.49: Baja Chicken (with Baja Chipotle sauce and jalapeños), Peppercorn Ranch Chicken, Italian Trio (ham, pepperoni and salami with provolone and garlic aioli) and Turkey & Ham. Subway publishes a protein claim for the pockets — 20g+ of protein each — and no calorie figure; none is printed here.

The daily deals complete the value menu. The Sub of the Day is a different 6-inch sub each day of the week at a flat $4.99 at participating restaurants, and the Meal of the Day makes that sub a meal — a small drink plus chips or two cookies — for $6.99. At every store checked, Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki was the daily deal item.

Breakfast

Subway serves breakfast — but not at every restaurant. Of the three stores whose full menus were checked, Fort Worth and Orlando carry the breakfast menu and Columbus does not offer breakfast at all. Where it is served, the menu is four egg sandwiches in both sizes — Egg & Cheese, Bacon, Egg & Cheese, Black Forest Ham, Egg & Cheese, and Steak, Egg & Cheese, at $5.69–$6.39 for a 6-inch and $8.49–$9.39 for a Footlong — plus the same four builds as wraps at $8.49–$9.39. The calories in the menu on this page are Subway’s published figures for the standard Artisan Italian builds; the same sandwich on flatbread runs lower — an Egg & Cheese is 430 calories on Artisan Italian and 360 on flatbread. When breakfast ends at a given restaurant is that restaurant’s own setting, covered in the Hours section below.

Breads, Cheeses, Sauces & Toppings

Subway is a build-your-own line: any sandwich can be rebuilt on any bread with the components below. The breads are not sold separately — the calories shown are Subway’s published figures for the bread alone, in the 6-inch portion, and they are the base every sandwich is built on.

Bread (6-inch portion) Calories
Flatbread 140
Hearty Multigrain 200
Artisan Italian 210
Honey Oat 210
Everything Bagel-Seasoned 210
Ghost Pepper 240
Jalapeño Cheddar 240
Italian Herbs & Cheese 250
Wrap 280

The two Mini breads — Mini Artisan Italian (140 calories) and Mini Hearty Multigrain (130) — are the kids’ size, used for the Fresh Fit for Kids subs. The cheeses in the current signature builds are American (Steak Philly, All American Club, the breakfast line), Pepper Jack (Chipotle Philly, Spicy Pepperoni), Monterey cheddar (Chicken & Bacon Ranch, the Protein Pockets) and provolone (Italian Trio Pocket). The sauces in the current builds are Sweet Onion sauce, Peppercorn Ranch, Baja Chipotle, creamy sriracha, garlic aioli, honey mustard, marinara (the Meatball and the Pizza Sub), mayonnaise (the tuna is mixed with it) and the teriyaki glaze and Hot Honey of the named builds. The fresh toppings named across the builds are lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, the peppers and onions of the Philly builds, jalapeños, pickles, banana peppers and smashed avocado.

Nutrition & Calories

Every calorie figure on this page comes from one document: Subway’s U.S. Nutrition Information, December 2024 edition — the current official document, published on subway.com. The figures are for Subway’s standard builds. Two of the document’s own rules explain the numbers in the menu: a Footlong is exactly double the 6-inch figure — Subway’s stated convention is one Footlong equals two 6-inch servings — and wraps, salads and Protein Bowls use the document’s own values for those formats, with the bowls and salads carrying a Footlong portion of the filling.

Calories in the Core 6-Inch Subs (December 2024 official edition)

6-inch sub, standard build Calories
Veggie Delite 220
Oven-Roasted Turkey 270
Black Forest Ham 280
Turkey & Ham 280
Grilled Chicken 300
Roast Beef 300
Cold Cut Combo 330
B.L.T. 370
Veggie Patty 390
Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki 430
Meatball Marinara 460
Pizza Sub 470
Tuna 480
Chipotle Philly 490
Subway Club 500
Steak Philly 510
All American Club 540
B.M.T. 560
Chicken & Bacon Ranch 580

The lowest-calorie published item on the whole menu is the Veggie Delite Salad at 50 calories, followed by the Chicken Noodle Soup at 70. The lightest 6-inch subs are the Veggie Delite (220), Oven-Roasted Turkey (270), Black Forest Ham (280) and Grilled Chicken (300), and the lightest full formats are the Protein Bowls built on deli meats — Oven-Roasted Turkey at 150, Turkey & Ham at 160 and Black Forest Ham at 170. At the other end, the Chicken & Bacon Ranch Footlong is 1,160 calories, the highest published figure on the menu. The healthiest order at Subway is therefore a documented build, not a label: a Veggie Delite, turkey or ham sub — or the same fillings as a salad or No Bready bowl — on the figures above. Cookies are 200–210 calories each, and the kids’ subs are 140–180.

Why some items in the menu carry no calorie figure: Subway does not publish one. The entire Fresh Fit lineup, the Hot Honey collection and several newer builds — Spicy Italian, 5 Meat Italian, Meatball Pepperoni, Ham & Salami and Spicy Pepperoni — have no figure in the December 2024 document, so their rows are blank rather than estimated. The Protein Pockets publish only Subway’s 20g+ protein claim. The Honey Mustard build is published only as a wrap (650 calories); its sandwich, salad and bowl rows are blank. Subway does not itemize calories for the third-party chips and drinks it sells, and none is printed for the 6 Pack Cookie Box. Where the official document is silent, this page is silent too.

Allergens & Dietary

Subway’s official documents track the major allergens across its components: wheat and gluten in all standard breads, wraps, flatbread and cookies; milk in all cheeses and some sauces; egg in the egg patty, in mayonnaise and mayo-based sauces, and in the tuna mix; soy in several breads, proteins and sauces; fish in the tuna; sesame in certain breads and toppings; and tree nut in the White Chip Macadamia Nut Cookie. Subway warns that cross-contact during preparation is possible and is not reflected in its charts — tell the sandwich artist about an allergy before the sub is built, and check Subway’s official Nutrition & Allergies resources for the item-level chart.

Does Subway have gluten-free bread?Subway’s official nutrition document describes a gluten-free bread manufactured in a gluten-free facility — and states the limit in the same breath: “other menu items and ingredients in our restaurants contain gluten and are prepared on shared equipment, so we cannot guarantee that our menu items are 100% glutenfree.” No Subway menu item is certified gluten-free.
Does Subway have vegetarian options?Yes. The Veggie Delite — fresh vegetables on your choice of bread, 220 calories as a 6-inch — is the standing meatless sub, and the Veggie Patty is a regional meatless build. Any sub can also be built without meat from the components on the line.
Does Subway have vegan options?Subway certifies no menu item as vegan. A vegan build is assembled from the components: the Veggie Delite’s fresh vegetables on a bread, without cheese and without the mayonnaise-based sauces — mayonnaise contains egg, and the tuna mix contains mayonnaise.
Is Subway halal or kosher?Subway’s official U.S. nutrition and allergen documents publish no halal or kosher certification for the standard menu.

Deals, Coupons & MVP Rewards

Subway’s deals run through the official Subway app and the offers page on subway.com: rotating coupons and promo codes — including the buy-one-get-one Footlong offers Subway runs as limited-time promotions — are applied in the app or at online checkout, and they are member- and store-dependent. MVP Rewards, Subway’s loyalty program in the app, is the standing channel: members earn on app and online orders and unlock member offers and rewards. This page prints no coupon codes — codes rotate and expire, and a printed code would be stale within weeks. The offers live in the app today are the current ones; check there before you order.

Does Subway still have the $5 Footlong? No. The $5 Footlong is a legacy promotion, not a current price. In the verified September 2026 menus, Footlongs run $6.99–$14.99. The standing value offers are the $3.99 Deli Faves and Protein Pockets, the $4.99 Sub of the Day and the $6.99 Meal of the Day.

The Footlong Pass — a paid pass that discounted Footlongs over a set period — is a limited-time promotion Subway has run before, not a standing program; it exists only when Subway’s official offers show it. Local coupons and mailers are issued by individual franchises and honored only where stated.

Hours

Subway has no single national schedule — each restaurant is franchised and sets its own hours, and the official store locator on subway.com and the Subway app are the source of truth for a specific store, including its holiday hours and its live open-or-closed status. There is no chain-wide 24-hour schedule: an individual location with extended or round-the-clock hours lists them in the locator, and hosted locations — inside airports, travel plazas and big-box stores — keep their host’s hours.

Breakfast hours follow the same rule. Restaurants that serve breakfast set their own breakfast window and their own cutoff, and Subway publishes no national breakfast timetable and no all-day-breakfast commitment — if a store’s menu in the app is not offering breakfast items, its breakfast service has ended or it does not serve breakfast. Holiday hours are likewise per restaurant and are posted store by store in the locator.

Gift Cards

Subway gift cards are sold through two official channels: in restaurants, and on the official gift cards page at subway.com, which sells physical cards and digital eGift cards. That same official gift card page is where a balance is checked — balances are read there or at the counter of a Subway restaurant, not on third-party balance-check sites. Cards are redeemed through Subway’s own channels — in restaurant and in the official app, where a card can be applied to an order; third-party delivery apps run their own payment systems and do not take Subway gift cards.

Items Not on the Current Menu

Several heavily searched items are not on the verified current menu at the stores checked:

  • Footlong Sidekicks and Dippers — the Footlong Cookie, Footlong Pretzel, Footlong Churro and the three Dippers appear in Subway’s December 2024 nutrition document (1,330 / 330 / 190 / 400–470 calories) but have no category on the current subway.com menu and no rows in the verified ordering menus. They are not current items.
  • The numbered Subway Series builds — Titan Turkey, Garlic Roast Beef, The Beast, The Boss, The MexiCali, The Great Garlic, Supreme Meats, Teriyaki Blitz, Homerun Ham, Hotshot Italiano, Firey Meatball, Spicy Nacho Steak and Homestyle Chicken Salad are in the December 2024 nutrition document but are not the current ordering lineup; the 2025–26 menu restructure dropped the Series numbers.
  • Cheesy Garlic Steak — published in the nutrition document (510 calories as a 6-inch) but not sold at any of the three stores checked.
  • Rotisserie and Buffalo Chicken subs — the current chicken lineup is Grilled Chicken, Chicken & Bacon Ranch and Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki; neither a rotisserie-style nor a Buffalo chicken sub is on the verified ordering menus.
  • Catering — Subway’s sandwich platters, cookie platters and Giant Subs are a separate group-order system with its own menu, not part of the retail menu on this page.
