Bitly is a leading marketing platform for link and QR Code management, enabling businesses of all sizes to see what’s working across online and offline channels. It makes it easy to create, share, and track short links and QR Codes, so brands can find what’s resonating and scale their reach. More than 3 million customers rely on Bitly to connect with their audiences, from global enterprises to growing businesses, including two-thirds of the Fortune 500. Bitly offers a range of features, including advanced analytics, custom domains, UTM builder, QR codes, mobile deep linking, team collaboration, and bulk link shortening. Its core functionality is good or excellent, particularly in its earlier versions, but some customers have reported issues with links failing, login problems, and unexpected redirects to suspicious ad-filled pages. Additionally, the service has been criticized for its customer service, with many people expressing significant dissatisfaction with automated responses and difficulty reaching a real person. Bitly is a widely used and recognized brand in the URL shortening space, with a massive integration ecosystem and a track record of reliability that spans over 15 years. It is a good choice for businesses that need SOC2 compliance, SSO, SLAs, and a vendor that procurement teams will recognize immediately. However, some customers have reported issues with the service's pricing, with some plans being misleading or not providing the expected features. Despite this, Bitly remains a strong option for businesses that need a reliable and effective link shortening and QR Code management solution.
